I met Howie at some party in Brooklyn, I think it was the late 80s. He had a band called FREAKS with Andrea Matthews Kusten at the time. We hit off immediately. He had an amazing amount of knowledge about people and music. He blew my mind. I visited him often to see his collection of monsters, posters, t-shirts, artworks, records, books, comic books, and toys. Mostly, talking to him was an absolute delight. He was a huge part of the New York music scene. D.Generation was an exciting NY band. I miss running into him. Howie Pyro is forever!
