When I saw Plasmatics at the Bond International Casino in 1981, my life changed forever. I was a young man from Japan who barely spoke English, on the purple haze (acid). The one show was so powerful, it made me want to be a rocker for the rest of my life. Not just a rocker, consistently pushing-the-envelope rocker. It was an art. Wendy was a wild animal on the stage. She cut a guitar with a chainsaw, shot a shotgun, and blew up a police car! I found a reason I came to NYC. Richie Stotts made me pick up a guitar. I never had a chance to meet Wendy O Williams but she lives in my heart forever. Thank you, Wendy. It wouldn't be Karen Black if I didn't see the Plasmatics that night.
